Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaon April 151976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. As a student in secondary school, Ward first attended Ouachita High School. She then transferred onto River Oaks High School during the summer immediately following her junior year. She briefly studied at Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward was 13 when she was modeling when she quit the school. She moved in New York to pursue this profession. In the years following, she also decided to try acting. In 1970she first appeared in an uncredited part in the soap-opera All My Children and was later a part of the short-lived NBC Prime-time teen drama Malibu Shores. It was not a big movie in theaters however, it was a huge success with home-video and cable. Ward appeared on screen in Shallow Hal in the year following, in which she performed a role of support. Her other acting credits include numerous direct-to-DVD films and appearances in television programs, like Friends. In 2009she was cast in the role of Chloe Kmet kothe mother of an unnamed gymna in on the ABC Family Drama series Make It or Break It which was part in the principal cast in the show's first two seasons. She married David C. Robinson, a producer. The couple had a son named Cameron.
